ASTM 6082 Aluminium Coil 0.5mm Thickness Polished Surface Used For Industry
6082 aluminum coil belongs to the 6 series (Al-Mg-Si) alloy aluminum coil, which can be strengthened by heat treatment. It has medium strength, good weldability and corrosion resistance.
6082 aluminum coil is mainly used in transportation and structural engineering industries. Such as Bridges, cranes, roof frames, transport aircraft, transport ships and so on.
Heat treatment technology
1. Smelting
6082 alloy is characterized by Mn, Mn is a refractory metal, the melting temperature should be controlled at 740-760℃. Evenly stir more than twice before sampling to ensure complete melting of metal, accurate temperature and uniform composition. After stirring, one sample is taken from the middle of the liquid aluminum depth and the left and right sides of the furnace for analysis, and the converter can be converted after being qualified.
2. purification and casting
After the melt was transferred to the static furnace, it was powdered and air-jet refined with nitrogen and refining agent. The refining temperature was 735-745℃ for 15 minutes. After the refining, it was left for 30 minutes. Through this process, the melt is degassed, slag removed and purified. There are two filter devices between the casting mold and the furnace, and the furnace has a foam ceramic filter plate (30PPI) filter. Before casting, 14-mesh glass fiber cloth is used to filter the oxides and slag in the melt.
The casting temperature of 6082 alloy aluminum plate is higher (compared with the normal process of 6063 aluminum plate), the casting speed is lower, and the water flow is larger. The above process should be strictly controlled and cannot exceed the range, otherwise it is easy to lead to casting failure.
